The Castle of Gorzone, which belonged to the noble family of the Federici di Valle Camonica, is a castle located in Gorzone, in the province of Brescia. Storia and Descriptionil Castle stands on a rocky spur between the town of Gorzone and the River Dezzo, it is a bare, austere construction, with acute arch windows, without towers. In a photo of 1920 you can see the remains of at least one tower. At the outside a large park -oriented park, while on the southern and western sides there is a steep escarpment that descends into the dezzo river. The structure would go back to 1160, by theBrusati family, then became Federici, Ghibellini, allies of Federico Barbarossa.Nel 1287, following the great Ribellione Camuna, the Municipality of Brescia, issues a ban against the Federici family with a reward for the destruction of his banks. The castle was destroyed and sacked in 1288, but thanks to the reconciliation between the Ghibelline family and the Brescia municipality, thanks to the arbitration of Matteo Visconti, the Rocca was reconstructed between the end of the thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries.>
