TRAINING WEEKEND
An intensive weekend focused on historical fencing, horsemanship, self-immersion, and interpretation, all aimed at preparing participants to portray themselves in 1615. The training days will take place in Lucca, at various outdoor and indoor locations (depending on weather conditions). During the weekend, instructors from various disciplines will be present. Additionally, participants will embark on a personal research journey to better understand how to interpret themselves in another time: “IMAGO: how is in the mirror?” The program is aimed at two groups of participants, who will work closely together but separately during the courses. Beginners: Those with little experience in theater, LARP, or historical reenactment. Advanced: Aimed at experienced individuals or actors who want to enhance their historical and interpretive skills. Actors will have the option to access a dual training path (Feb 28-Mar 2 and May 16-18) and complete their training by participating, as a final project, in one or both SWASHBUCKLER events, portraying characters assigned by the organization in agreement with the participant.
