La Candela to larp taneczny, niemy i inspirowany wierzeniami Basków. Pierwotnie planowałem przetłumaczyć Wam Dance Macabre od Czechów, ale najpierw pozbyłem się tanga, potem warsztatów, warstwy muzycznej, struktury gry, a potem i fabuły, więc jest to nowa gra, niezawierająca nic ze swego pierwowzoru. Nasza gra opowie nam o śmierci, jej godności i przeżywaniu jej. Zagramy ją w parach, ale w wielu segmentach będziecie mieli okazję wyjść poza nią. Śmierć zajmuje centralne miejsce w baskijskiej kosmogonii, będąc głęboko wplecioną w bogaty system wierzeń i rytuałów. Mitologia baskijska, uważana za jedną z najstarszych w Europie, prezentuje podejście do śmierci jako części naturalnego cyklu życia. Inspiracją tytułu jest treść oksytańskiej mazurki: La Candela właśnie. Baskowie i Oksytańczycy dzielą wiele przekonań i tradycji, zwłaszcza tych, co do śmierci i jej znaczenia. La Candela to to romantyczna pieśń o miłosnym spotkaniu przy świecy. Tekst nawiązuje do tradycji "ball del fanalet" (tańca ze świecą), popularnego na festiwalach w Katalonii i Oksytanii. Nasz larp zaś opowie o żałobie po odejściu tej ukochanej osoby. Tradycyjne baskijskie obrzędy pogrzebowe były niezwykle rozbudowane. Żałoba trwała co najmniej rok, rozpoczynając się ceremonią Argia w pierwszą niedzielę po śmierci, poprzedzoną serią dziewięciu nabożeństw zwanych bederatziurrune. Gra dzieli się na 9 scen, obejmujących 22 utwory.Mam nadzieję, że spróbujemy jej razem. Jaki taniec będziemy tańczyć? Balfolkowego scottisha, z elementami wariantów: m.in elementami kroków mazurki, tanga, salsy i walca. Oraz elementy fusion.

La Candela is a silent dance larp inspired by Basque beliefs. Originally, I planned to translate Dance Macabre from the Czechs to you, but first I got rid of the tango, then the workshops, the musical layer, the game structure, and then the plot, so it is a new game, containing nothing from its original. Our game will tell us about death, its dignity and surviving it. We will play it in pairs, but in many segments you will have the opportunity to go beyond it. Death occupies a central place in Basque cosmogony, being deeply woven into a rich system of beliefs and rituals. Basque mythology, considered one of the oldest in Europe, approaches death as part of the natural cycle of life. The title is inspired by the content of the Occitan mazurka: La Candela. Basques and Occitans share many beliefs and traditions, especially regarding death and its meaning. La Candela is a romantic song about a love meeting by candlelight. The text refers to the tradition of "ball del fanalet" (dance with a candle), popular at festivals in Catalonia and Occitania. Our larp will tell about mourning after the death of a loved one. Traditional Basque funeral rites were extremely elaborate. Mourning lasted for at least a year, beginning with the Argia ceremony on the first Sunday after death, preceded by a series of nine services called bederatziurrune. The game is divided into 9 scenes, covering 22 songs. I hope we will try it together. What dance will we dance?
